- PTSD Coach Online. The VA has developed free tools available to anyone in the general public who is struggling with Anxiety and Stress. If you are in healthcare and have been dealing with Covid-19 for the last 2 years … you have experienced both Trauma and Stress on an intense level. Don’t be put off by the PTSD label, and don’t feel you can’t use it if you are not a Veteran. I think “Covid-19 Veteran” should be a new category!

- InsightTimer is an App that offers music, meditation, and stories. There are tons of free meditations when you select “Guided.” And if you select “Sleep” there are music, meditations, and soundscapes (nature sounds) specifically geared to aiding sleep. I have used the free App for a while to get to sleep. There is also a selection for kids.
InsightTimer now offers Free Live Events. Today I am listening to a talk on the Medicine Wheel. Very interesting.
- Happify is an App that helps with relieving stress and anxiety. “This app can help users build resilience and strengthen coping skills with the use of games and other activities. It is science-based, and users can plan their goals using this app. This app is available for both Android devices and iOS.” There are free tracks that suggest actions to take to raise your mood. You can keep a private record or have a public presence and invite comments and support.
I am trying the free, private version. The first action was to identify something I was grateful for today. Seems like it could be useful for mood elevation, mood tracking.
- Calm is another App that offers Meditations, Sleep Stories, and Music. But there is less available that is free. It also has the voice of Matthew Mcconaughey but for members only.
